ALL ABOUT THE VULVA

“When women are informed, care becomes a choice — not a compromise.”

Change your experience

For decades, women were told that vulvar and vaginal changes were simply an unavoidable part of aging. Discomfort, dryness, thinning tissue—these experiences were normalized rather than addressed. But modern science shows a different truth: the tissues of the vulva retain their own remarkable ability to regulate themselves throughout life. Safe, thoughtful support can make a meaningful difference.

Why These Products?

I created Restore because natural, preservative-free, effective options for intimate self-care were nearly impossible to find. As women, our bodies evolve over time; supporting those changes with intention allows us to remain comfortable, sensual, and confident at every age.

Understanding Local Support

Systemic hormone replacement can be very helpful, but it is not the only pathway—and not the preferred choice for everyone.

The vulvar and vestibular tissues have a unique biology:
they possess the machinery to regulate their own environment locally, independent of the rest of the body. This is known as intracrine activity—a process where tissues convert precursors, like DHEA, into the small amounts of hormones they need in each cell, without sending them into circulation.

A topical product designed to work locally takes advantage of this built-in physiology. Instead of delivering throughout the entire body, it provides a gentle precursor at the surface, allowing the tissue to use what it needs, right where it’s applied.

This is why I created Restore - to work with the tissue's local intelligence.

Because your body is a wondrous thing.

Understanding Changes Everything

The Vulva Company

Why Vulvovaginal Wellness?

The tissues of the vulva and vagina are profoundly responsive to our natural hormones. As hormone levels change with age, these tissues can become thinner, drier, and less resilient. Many women also notice shifts in desire and comfort.

Supporting vulvovaginal health can transform this experience. When tissue is well cared for, women often report greater comfort, confidence, and even a rekindling of desire. This is what our products are designed to nurture.

The results have been more powerful than we expected. Women who use our products share not only physical improvements, but something deeper: a renewed sense of femininity, a reconnection with self, and often, a renewed closeness with partners and family.

Because vulvovaginal wellness is not only about the vulva — it resonates throughout a woman’s sense of identity, vitality, and connection.

Our secret - Vulvovaginal wellness goes far beyond the vulva.

What is DHEA?

DHEA is a natural precursor in our bodies, used to support healthy tissues and vitality. We deliver it in a liposomal form, meaning it’s wrapped in tiny lipid particles that your body recognizes. This allows for gentle, gradual absorption—supporting comfort and hydration without overwhelming the system.  Our formula uses all plant-sourced ingredients.

Understanding Vulvar Health

The vulva is the external part of the female genitalia often confused with the vagina. It includes the outer and inner lips, the clitoral complex, the vestibule, introitus, and the urethral opening. When healthy, this tissue is resilient, hydrated, and responsive.

Why does Restore work so well to improve vulvovaginal wellness?

There are two scientific reasons these products work.

  • First, the main active ingredient, DHEA, is a natural hormone precursor.  This is made in our reproductive system as well as in our adrenal glands, but reproductive production decreases with age. In the body, DHEA can turn into estrogen (yes, men have it too) or testosterone. But when applied to the vulva, DHEA turns  primarily into testosterone due to the needs of the vulvar tissue.
  • Secondly, testosterone is essential for the integrity of vaginal tissue structure and for the complex neurovascular processes that regulate arousal and lubrication. A mechanism called aromatization allows testosterone to be turned into estrogen.  It has been shown that testosterone functions for vulvovaginal wellness independently of the aromatization process.
What makes these products different from others?

Technology meets Nature

We use advanced, completely natural technology to radically improve the power of our products. Restore uses advanced technology liposomes, proprietary and 100% natural.

Our special liposomes allow the DHEA particles to be delivered more successfully and more deeply into the skin layers, allowing for a full vulvovaginal response.

We also use no synthetic preservatives ever, so you can feel completely in harmony using whatever we make for you.

The Science of DHEA

In a healthy body, DHEA is produced mainly in the adrenal glands, with smaller contributions from the ovaries (during the reproductive years) and the brain. With age and stress, natural levels decline. This is why supporting DHEA can play an important role in vulvovaginal and overall wellness.

Our approach is based on intracrine physiology—the body’s own local enzymes determine how DHEA is used in each tissue, favoring the pathways that help intimate skin remain supple, resilient, and responsive.

DHEA is available over-the-counter in the US and is most often taken orally. However, oral DHEA provides little direct benefit for vulvar tissue and does not specifically address midlife intimate wellness.

When applied topically to the vulva, DHEA is locally converted primarily into testosterone, and to a smaller extent, estrogen. Much of the vulvar tissue relies on testosterone for wellness. Testosterone is often considered the vulva’s “missing link”—it supports resilience, hydration, responsiveness, and plays a key role in desire.

Early studies of topical DHEA show a favorable safety profile, including among women who do not use estrogen-based products. Still, it is always best to consult your healthcare provider if you have specific medical concerns.

Our DHEA is plant-derived and bioidentical, delivered in natural liposomes to support comfort, softness, and sensual responsiveness—gently, over time.

Benefits of DHEA

Proper systemic DHEA levels as we age are correlated with not only sexual desire and satisfaction resulting from healthy vulvar/vaginal tissue, but also with increased cognitive wellness and decreased chronic illness.

DHEA is a required in the brain and is used in memory and learning, in protection of neurons, and shows an overall reduction in age-related brain pathology. Ismail H. Zwain, Samuel S. C. Yen, Dehydroepiandrosterone: Biosynthesis and Metabolism in the Brain, Endocrinology, Volume 140, Issue 2, 1, February 1999, Pages 880– 887. In addition, healthy DHEA levels are associated with lower all-cause mortality.

Good Vulva Testing

In our testing we have found that with normal application of Daily Nectar Restore, DHEA levels can rise into a healthy post-menopausal range – but we have seen NO rise in estrogen. This correlates with published study data.

Currently we are setting up a larger trial to explore the deeper effects on longevity and wellness from using our products. Stay tuned to our blog for updates.

How does Daily Nectar work for recurring UTIs?

Emerging research suggests that many urinary or vaginal discomforts in midlife may be linked to hormonal shifts—particularly a decline in local testosterone—rather than always being caused by infection.

DHEA in vulvovaginal tissue may support balance in two ways. First, hormonal decline can affect the vaginal environment, including pH, which may allow less beneficial bacterial species to thrive. By restoring balance, DHEA may help maintain a healthier pH range.

Secondly, healthier tissue can feel more comfortable. Many women describe less dryness, less irritation, and improved overall comfort with consistent use, which aligns with what emerging studies are beginning to observe.

Recommendations on DHEA from the National Institute of Health
  • Research suggests that taking between 20 to 50 milligrams of DHEA supplements daily should be sufficient and safe for most adults over the age of 30. Individual needs will vary; the lowest effective dose is best.
  • In some cases, DHEA is administered in high doses up to 200 to 500 milligrams daily to help treat certain disorders such as depression or lupus, but this should only be done under medical supervision. Do not exceed the recommended dose.
  • For improving bone healing and bone mineral density, 50 to 100 milligrams per day is recommended.
  • For erectile dysfunction, menopausal symptoms and vaginal dryness, 25 to 50 milligrams per day.
